Birds should be good in the air? And in either case, give his poor recovery options some love. Just to try to make him more different from Fox and because well. ![]() If you had to go for speed buffs, I'd say look at aerial mobility buffs instead of ground buffs. Just needs less cooldown really and then you could probably look at it being a part of some low % combos. Do something with that Dair as well, its almost-but-not-quite good. Jab comboing into tilts, with Ftilt setting up forced tech/untechable spiral situations, Utilt setting up for air combos/air 50/50s at higher percents, Dtilt having a trip chance to set up for more.īeyond that, fix up Usmash more so it hits consistently. Super spitball level stuff her but I'm thinking like, the laser doing significantly more damage at close range + more hitstun + a little bit less cooldown (not spamable, but if hit by a laser up close as a combo finisher you're left in a 50/50 in some cases). But once he actually got in he could wrack up the damage and beat out a lot of characters in CQC. Basically a slower character with a meh-but-usable projectile that works for both super long range harassment and combo finishers, and a reflector that keeps him safe from slower counter projectile games. ![]() I'd be interested to see what could be done to make Falco more viable without boosting his speed/giving him SH double lasers. It would work but I don't think it would be interesting. A few key differences perhaps but still annoying close. ![]() That would still make him very much like Fox in playstyle overall I'd think though.

If you had any clue how entrenched H.264 is already (meaning in part that the checks have already cleared), you may realize how little of a threat VP8 is - aside of being inferior in most regards. I’m not telling you not to use that as your default position, but I am saying it’s absurd… which it is. I’m just not that naive to assume everyone engaging in patent lawsuits is doing so because they’re trembling out of fear of the “competition”. It’s absurd that you ignore the reality, in which most software patent aggressors (who are not pure trolls who have nothing except patents) do exactly that – use their patents to hinder competitors. It’s absurd how some of you think every time a company starts flexing their patent muscle it’s because they’re in fear of competition, just “trolling” to be assholes, and never about actually legally protecting their interests. Therefore all MPEG-LA is doing here, is fear mongering and spreading FUD to deter WebM adoption. However VP8 was designed around H.264 patents, so there is no “rip offs” there. ![]() VP8 on the other hand is way more scary for them. They never tried to attack it though, since it’s not a real competitor. They claimed before that Theora has some “rip offs”. All MPEG-LA cares about is money, and they are scared that market penetration of H.264 will be weakened by VP8. Even my webcam supports hardware encoding of H.264 just like Intel’s newest chips. Yes, for MPEG5, we should ask for an open codec, but the current standard across all industries is MPEG4. Choosing WebM only shows ignorance of the standards out there. If you are a WebM fan that wants to live H.264 free, it’s your choice, but please don’t push it on the rest of us. Somehow, I’m pretty sure that the silicon that comes with most computers of the past 5 years already includes a license for H.264, just like most consumer operating systems. Licensing is not an issue anymore as on OS X you’ve had support for a long time, Windows supports it natively since Vista and for Linux you have codecs from fluendo. Even Mozilla came to their senses and decided to add H.264 support in Firefox. Unless you convince the broadcast industry to also switch to it. WebM is cute as a concept, but ridiculous. Based on industry trends, instead of dropping H.264 they should also be adding VC1. ![]() TV is H.264 in HD and in some countries also for SD.ĭigital downloads (legal or pirated) are mostly in H.264 (except for a few that use VC1).īlu-Ray is wither H.264 or VC1. This explanation has led to the hope that stem cells from other sources can repair damage to the cochlea that cannot repair itself. The reason for the lack of regenerative capacity in the cochlea could be that the differentiated cell types that contribute to the structure of the organ of Corti lose their regenerative and proliferative ability during post-natal maturation. In contrast, the mammalian vestibular organs can regenerate hair cells in a limited capacity. In mature mammalian cochleae, virtually no mechanosensitive hair cell regeneration is detectable. The primary reason for the permanence of hearing loss is that the mammalian cochlea lacks regenerative capacity. While these cochlear implants have been shown to restore some degree of auditory function, there is still low evidence regarding improvement in post-operative speech outcomes and improvement in hearing-related quality of life. Thus, the implants bypass the damaged hair cells by directly transmitting the electrical signals to the auditory nerve. Cochlear implants work by replacing the function of sensory hair cells that are no longer able to convert mechanical sound to electrical impulses. However, cochlear implants are typically the only current treatment option for cases of profound bilateral SNHL that cannot be corrected with hearing aids and severe asymmetric SNHL. As for the treatment of SNHL, for mild to moderate hearing loss, there is evidence that conventional hearing aids are effective in improving hearing. Sensorineural hearing loss can have a multitude of causes, including trauma, noise exposure, ototoxin exposure, age, and infectious conditions such as meningitis. Meanwhile, sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) affects the conversion of mechanical sound to electrical signals in the inner ear or the auditory nerve. Conductive hearing loss involves the tympanic membrane and the middle ear, and this type interferes with transmitting sound and converting it to mechanical vibrations. Hearing loss is classified as either conductive, sensorineural, or mixed type. Furthermore, the prevalence of hearing loss increases with each age decade. This number increased to 48.1 million Americans when including individuals suffering from unilateral hearing loss. Approximately 30 million Americans or 12.7% of Americans, 12 years and older were estimated to have suffered from bilateral hearing loss from 2001 through 2008. Hearing loss is one of the most common disabilities afflicting Americans. Hearing loss Stem cells Inner ear Hair cells Spiral ganglion neurons Introduction However, more research is still needed to improve the protocol for differentiating stem cells into hair cells and SGNs. They have the potential to be induced to differentiate into sensory hair cells and spiral ganglion neurons (SGNs) in damaged cochleae. Neural stem cells (NSCs), embryonic stem cells (ESCs), mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are all promising candidates for the treatment of SNHL. This type of hearing loss affects the conversion of mechanical sound to an electrical signal within the inner ear, and profound SNHL can usually only be treated with a cochlear implant. Sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) specifically has etiologies including trauma, infectious conditions, ototoxin exposure, and trauma. Hearing loss affects millions of Americans in every age group, and it can be either conductive or sensorineural.
